La Source
La Source is based in France, just 40 minutes on the train from Paris and fifteen minutes drive from the world reknowned climbing site situated in the beautiful forests of Fontainebleau and its famous Chateaux.
La Source is situated in a small quiet village surrounded by fields. It is an old farm property that is currently being updated to provide workshop/retreat and accommodation space. There is a large garden giving ample space for camping and for enjoying delicious meals in the French summer evenings whilst listening to the bird song, enjoying good conversation or simply listening to the silence.
It is intended that La Source will be a place of community where you can come, perhaps to have a break from your normal routine, to deepen your understanding and experience of the teachings, to experience serving one another in community and to receive inspiration as a teacher or indeed for your journey through life.
La Source is run by Kirpal Singh and Ishwara Kaur. Both are Kundalini Yoga teachers and Teacher Trainers with many years experience of teaching and practising Kundalini Yoga. Kirpal Singh is also a very experienced teacher of Karam Kriya. Kirpal and Ishwara are both very passionate about the teachings and they are devoted to promoting them.
From the summer of 2010 it is possible to visit La Source for seva.
Seva:
Seva is an incredible blessing as it provides an opportunity to serve selflessly within a loving community. Seva is Karma Yoga and it supports us to be humble and is a gateway to realise and develop our highest virtues through the company of other human beings. Seva can comprise many different tasks, including cooking, cleaning, chopping wood, picking and stewing fruit and even digging if you're feeling particularly energetic. The possibilities are endless!
With prior arrangement you can bring your tent and stay at La Source during the summer months for a few days or in some cases for longer periods. You can either participate in seva for the whole day and receive your food and lodgings for free or an alternative is to pay for your food and participate in seva for half of each day, giving you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings for the other half of the day. Call or email for more information.
