"Our greatest fear is not that we are
inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond
measure.  It is our light, not our darkness,
that frightens us."

Self-Worth is an issue for just about everyone to a lesser or greater degree.  We often feel that we are not 'good enough', compare and compete with others using achievement as the basis for our self-worth and question if we have something 'useful' to offer others.

The more aware that we become and the more we observe ourselves, the more we can see patterns where we limit ourselves and this is very often related to Self-Worth issues.  Very often these issues have their source in our childhood and sometimes from experiences later in life.  Sometimes the root of the issues are very clear such as traumas from sexual abuse but there are also issues that are very well hidden within our cells and so we have no awareness that they even exist.

Lack of Self-Worth affects all aspects of our lives including our relationships and our work.  It has a big impact on how we see and value ourselves.  It is very easy to get 'stuck in a rut' and think that we cannot make changes to how our life is because, perhaps, we don't feel that we deserve to have a well paid job or a job that we enjoy but as the teachings of Yogi Bhajan tell us, it is our birthright to be healthy, happy and holy.

"I remember to this day a warm upsurge of intense energy seeping from my heart, filling every corner of my being.  It was quite unusual.  I have since noticed myself acting differently towards people.  I seem to hold on to hugs for longer, spend more time chatting and connecting with people and I am definitely more compassionate.  Basically my heart has been opened to unconditional Love.  The barrier that I once had seems to have gone.  Since the course, my life has taken a new lease of life.  In my personal life my relationship with my family is more easy and free flowing and my business is flourishing." A quote from Kelvin, a previous participant at a Self Worth Workshop.

The Self-Worth Workshops that Ishwara runs are rooted in the technology and teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan and have developed directly from the Self-Worth Workshop Trainings with Sat Santokh Singh from the US who has been running Self-Worth Workshops for many years.

During the Self-Worth Workshops each participant goes through a process of acknowledging the wounds that they have received to their sense of self, identifying the consequent impact on their life, becoming clear on what negative self-images are being carried, releasing those images and replacing them with new life-affirming images.

At the end of the workshop participants have a clear vision of themselves as healthy, worthy human beings, a regular daily practise to help maintain the new image and the ongoing support from other members of the group.

Participants do not need to have any previous experience of Kundalini Yoga and the workshops are limited to seven participants.  The workshops take place in a confidential space of non-judgement and unconditional love.

If you are interested in attending a workshop then please see the workshop section of this website for future dates and/or contact Ishwara.
