This Level 1 Training Programme is for everyone who has been touched in some way by Kundalini Yoga, whether you would like to become a certified Teacher and formally teach, or simply deepen your personal experience of Kundalini Yoga. 

The ANS training has an emphasis on the student-teacher relationship, without which, only limited growth is possible.  Ishwara is committed to supporting all trainees, not only through the training but also as you continue on your spiritual journey.  If you are ready to challenge yourself, so that you can delve deeply into your being, then this training is for you.

Yogi Bhajan likened the study of yoga to an adventure in consciousness.

The course provides you with tools to build a successful and rewarding life, together with comprehensive training in both theory and techniques of Kundalini Yoga.  You will learn a lot about yourself and make some lifelong  friendships along the way as you develop a strong practise within a supported structure.

You will gain the knowledge and self-confidence to make a difference in yourself and the world around you.

Structure and Requirements

The training in Brighton is facilitated by Ishwara Kaur and comprises attendance at four, three day weekends, a week in France and a written exam.  The timings for the weekends in Brighton are as follows: 

Fridays - 9.30am to approx. 9.00pm

Saturdays - 5.00am to approx. 9.00pm

Sundays - 5.00am to approx. 5.00pm

Attendance at sadhana (the early morning practise) is an integral part of the Training, as is participation in Seva (selfless service).  You must also attend a day of White Tantric Yoga.

In order to complete your training the following is required: 

attendance at all parts of the training;

teaching a class to the required standard;

attendance at a minimum of 20 Kundalini Yoga classes;

completion of at least 40 continuous days of the given meditations & kriyas;

pass mark or above on the written examination;

attendance at a day of White Tantric Yoga;

acceptance of the Code of Professional Standards for Kundalini Yoga Teachers (minimally as an aspiration to live up to).

It is possible for a small number of people to sleep over at the yoga space in sleeping bags.  Please let us know if you will need to do this.

2012 Teacher Training Dates

27, 28, 29 January - The Dynamics of Kundalini Yoga & Asanas

Residential camping week in France - 7.30pm on 30th June  to 8.00am on 8th July - Kriyas, Naad Yoga/The Five Elements/ Practise, Experience.

The White Tantra in London in 2012 is on 21st January.  If you are unable to make this date then you can attend next year or attend at another time in Europe or at the European Festival next summer.

There will be an exam in the autumn of 2012.  The date for this will be confirmed nearer the time.

When to pay

The total costs can be paid at the beginning of the training or they can be paid in instalments throughout the training period.  It is also possible to start making monthly payments in advance of the training.

£200 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your place.

If you do not pay the amount in full before the beginning of the training then you need to pay in equal instalments over the four weekends.

Discounts:

If the deposit is paid more than six weeks before the commencement of the course then you receive a discount of £60.

If you pay the Basic Course Fees in full before the beginning of the course, you receive a discount of £40.

A date in January/February 2013 to be confirmed very soon. 

The training will take place at La Source.  La Source is situated on the edge of a small French village.  It is a very quiet and peaceful location.  In May and July the accommodation will be in tents.  For the October and January trainings, there will be simple accommodation just a few doors away from La Source.   La Source is easily accessible from Paris.  Trains to Malsherbes take approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes and we would collect you from the station.

There is one price inclusive of accommodation, food and manual.

Kirpal Singh

Kirpal Singh has many years experience of Kundalini Yoga and has specialised in Sacred Numerology.  He has studied with the Karam Kriya School of Sacred Numerology for many years.  He has a particular love of the sacred chants and plays the harmonium.
